How the Epilator Works

The device emits flashes of light that target the melanin in the hair follicles. These flashes of light disrupt the growth cycle of the hair roots. This causes the hair follicle to shrink over time and may even stop it from growing back completely. The IPL light targets melanin, meaning this device cannot be used on grey and white hairs because these hair follicles do not contain melanin. Nor can it be used on very dark skin that contains too much melanin.

Treating hair with this tool is painless and safe. The IPL hair removal device has two built-in safety sensors. These prevent the epilator from being activated at the wrong intensity level and at the wrong time. The colour sensor checks if the chosen intensity level is suitable for your skin colour. The skin sensor ensures that the device only works when in direct contact with the skin, preventing accidental flashes. The product also comes with protective goggles to protect your eyes from the flashes of light from the device.

How to Use

First, shave the part of the body you are going to use the epilator on with a razor and dry the skin thoroughly. If you have sensitive skin, let your skin rest for 1 day after shaving. Connect the power plug to the epilator and plug the other end into a power outlet. Switch on the epilator, adjust the intensity level and put on the protective goggles. Gently press the head against the skin in the area you want to treat and wait for the LED indicator to light up. When the LED turns green, press the longitudinal button to activate the light flash. Slowly and systematically work your way bit by bit over the entire area you want to treat. Do not return repeatedly to the same area you have already treated to avoid irritating the skin. When you are finished, clean the epilator with a damp cloth. This device is not waterproof, so under no circumstances wash it under running water or immerse it. Do not use any cosmetics on your skin after the procedure, and make sure your skin shows no signs of irritation or redness after 24 hours. After a few days of treatment, hair loss should occur.

Before first use, study the instructions for use carefully and perform a skin reaction test to avoid adverse reactions. It is recommended to repeat the treatment approximately once every two weeks. Gradually, the hair should thin out and then you can reduce the frequency of use.
